Our Programmes

Three Ways to Begin

Each programme is facilitative and reflective. None includes personal advice, legal counsel, or counselling. They are spaces for household conversation — nothing more, and nothing less.

What We Offer

Why Households Choose Wovenhall

We work within the tradition of community facilitation — slow, careful, and centred on the people in the room.

Facilitated, Not Advised

Our facilitators guide conversation — they do not advise, diagnose, or counsel. This keeps sessions open and honest without creating dependency on external judgement.

Entirely Private

What takes place in a Wovenhall session stays within the room. No recording, no case notes shared externally, no referral pathways. Just the family and the facilitator.

Unhurried by Design

Sessions are structured to allow time for thought. There are no timers, no performance expectations. Families arrive, settle, and talk at a pace that feels natural.

A Distinctive Setting

Our studio in Melaka is designed with warm, textile-inspired interiors that signal a different kind of meeting — away from the noise and pressure of everyday life.

Across Generations

Prompts and formats are designed to work across age groups — from young adults to grandparents. No generation is treated as the expert or the subject.

Something to Keep

Selected programmes include a printed workbook and written summary note — not a report, but a quiet record of what the family chose to put into words that day.

A Conversation Worth Having

Is Your Household Ready to Talk?

Many families have things they want to say but rarely find the right moment or the right conditions. Wovenhall provides both. Reach out and we will discuss which programme fits your household's needs.

Common Questions

What Families Ask Us

What is the difference between a workshop and a session?
The Family Story Conversation Workshop is a group format — several family groups are seated together, though each family works through its own sequence of prompts. The Family Reflection Half-Day and Year of Family Reflection are private — just one family group with the facilitator.
Are these sessions the same as therapy or counselling?
No. Our programmes are facilitative and reflective — they are not counselling, therapy, or any form of clinical service. Facilitators support conversation; they do not interpret, diagnose, or give personal advice. Families who are seeking therapeutic support should consult a qualified professional.
How many people can attend a session?
The private half-day and annual subscription programmes accommodate one family group of up to eight adults. The workshop format includes multiple family groups in the room together, with facilitated mixed-generation seating.
Where do sessions take place?
All sessions are held at our studio at Suite 12, Jalan Hang Tuah, 75300 Melaka. The space is designed with quiet, textile-inspired interiors that support unhurried conversation. Parking is available nearby.
What language are the sessions conducted in?
Our current programmes are facilitated in English. If your household is more comfortable in Bahasa Malaysia, please mention this when you enquire — we may be able to accommodate depending on facilitator availability.
What does the price include?
The workshop (RM 550) includes facilitation and session materials. The half-day (RM 1,180) includes facilitation, a printed workbook, light refreshments, and a written summary note sent one week after. The annual subscription (RM 2,560) covers four quarterly half-day sessions with continuity of the same facilitator.
